I am originally from Gadsden, AL, graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Worked for TVA in Chattanooga TN for 28 years as a Programmer and System Analyst. Moved to Panama City Beach, FL in 1995 and Canton GA in 2023. Licensed since 1958 as K4JAF. Top of The DXCC Honor Roll, hold RTTY and CW DXCC, 5BDXCC with 12, 17, 30, 160 and 6 meter endorsements, DXCC Challenge - band countries with 2822 worked - 2775 confirmed, and VUCC 50 MHZ with 723 worked - 648 confirmed grid squares. Due to poor antennas at my current QTH, I mainly work FT8 and FT4. Present Amateur equipment consists of the Kenwood TS-590SG tranceiver. Antennas are a Par 6 meter loop and an end fed attic dipole.
