I am originally from Gadsden, AL, graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Worked for TVA in Chattanooga TN for 28 years as a Programmer and System Analyst. Moved to Panama City Beach, Florida in 1995. I am very active in Amateur Radio, licensed since 1958 as K4JAF. Top of The DXCC Honor Roll, hold RTTY and CW DXCC, 5BDXCC with 12, 17, 30, 160 and 6 meter endorsements, DXCC Challenge - band countries with 2821 worked - 2775 confirmed, and VUCC 50 MHZ with 723 worked - 648 confirmed grid squares. Due to poor antennas and a high noise level at my current QTH, I mainly work FT8 and FT4. Present Amateur equipment consists of the Flex 6400M tranceiver and Elecraft KPA500/KAT500 amplifier. Antennas are a Par 6 meter loop 10 meter vertical and multiband dipole for 60-15 meters at 25 feet
