I am originally from Gadsden, AL, graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Industrial
Engineering. Worked for TVA in Chattanooga TN for 28 years as a
Programmer and System Analyst. Moved to Panama City Beach, Florida in 1995. I am very
active in Amateur Radio, licensed since 1958 as K4JAF. Top of The DXCC Honor
Roll, hold RTTY and CW DXCC, 5BDXCC with 12, 17, 30, 160 and 6 meter endorsements, DXCC Challenge - band countries with 2819 worked - 2773 confirmed, and VUCC 50 MHZ with over 700 worked - over 600 confirmed
grid squares. Present Amateur equipment consists of the Flex 6400 tranceiver and Elecraft KPA500 amplifier. Antennas are a JK Navassa 6 band HF, vertical for 40 and 30 meters and dipole for 80 meters at 30 feet
